Joshua Korman

I grew up in Amherst, NY. My dad, Ron Korman, owns Muleskinner, LLC, an antiques store that is just down the street from where my office is now located. Growing up in the family shop provided me with an inside look at the practical needs of and challenges facing many small businesses. My mom is a social worker and administrator at a children’s mental health agency. Her work with children inspired my interest in family law early on in my career.

I graduated summa cum laude from State University of New York at Buffalo with a B.A. in English in 2002, and I graduated cum laude from the SUNY Buffalo Law School in 2005.

My practice is primarily focused on three areas of law: business, family and estates. I frequently counsel clients regarding estate planning and business succession planning. I prepare wills and trusts, as well as health care proxy and power of attorney forms. I also handle a variety of matters in Family Court, including custody, visitation, family offense, paternity and child support cases.

I help businesses and business owners limit risk in their dealings with customers, vendors, partners, employees, subcontractors and others. This often includes drafting and negotiating contracts and leases. I represent clients in commercial transactions and in the formation of corporations and limited liability companies. I enjoy providing my clients with a high level of service and continuously earning the opportunity to represent them.

J.P. Morgan said it best: “I don’t want a lawyer to tell me what I cannot do; I hire him to tell me how to do what I want to do.”
